Bruce Pearl retires from Auburn, won’t run for U.S. Senate

Bruce Pearl, the head coach of the Auburn Tigers, is retiring after leading the team to four consecutive NCAA tournament appearances, including a Final Four run in 2019. His son, Steven Pearl, will take over as head coach; while there was speculation about Bruce running for the U.S. Senate, he has confirmed he will not pursue that path and will remain an ambassador for the school.
