German hunters compete in national deer calling championship

German hunters competed at a national stag calling championship in Dortmund, aiming to imitate the bellowing of red deer to assess the stag before deciding whether to shoot it. Competitors used various instruments to amplify the sound, with Fabian Wenzel from Bavaria winning the championship for the fifth time. Wenzel will now represent Germany at the European Stag Calling Championships in Lithuania in October.
