School bus catches fire near Leigh, four children evacuated

Four children were safely evacuated from a school bus that caught fire in Leigh, a coastal town north of Auckland, early this morning. Emergency services responded to the incident on Pakiri Rd just before 8:30 am. The bus sustained extensive damage due to the flames. Sergeant Mark Stallworthy confirmed that all four children onboard were unharmed.
