Azerbaijan’s Independence Day celebrated in Turkmenistan (PHOTO)

An official reception was held at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Turkmenistan to celebrate May 28 – Independence Day.

The national anthems were played, followed by a speech from Azerbaijan’s Ambassador in Turkmenistan, Gismat Gozalov, highlighting the historical significance of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.

He discussed the achievements made since the country’s independence 106 years ago, emphasizing its status as the first secular democratic state in the Muslim East.
