The Western Australian premier, Roger Cook, condemned a heckler who disrupted an Anzac Day service in Perth by shouting obscenities during a welcome to country at the Kings Park dawn service. Cook described the behavior as “disgusting” and emphasized that such actions are totally inappropriate and disrespectful during a solemn occasion meant for community unity. He reiterated that using the occasion to make a political point in a disrespectful manner is unacceptable.
