The Strait of Hormuz is reportedly only closed to US and Israeli vessels, according to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. He noted that while other ships can pass freely, many choose not to due to security concerns unrelated to Iran. This statement follows US President Donald Trump’s announcement of plans to deploy warships to ensure the Strait remains open, amid claims about Iran’s Supreme Leader’s health, which Araghchi dismissed as unfounded.
