Kurdish residents of northeastern Syria have cautioned Iranian Kurds against aligning with the U.S. for potential military actions against Iran, warning of abandonment based on their own experiences in Syria. Iranian Kurdish militias have sought U.S. guidance on targeting Iranian security forces, but Syrian Kurds, who faced betrayal from the U.S. after their fight against ISIS, advise their Iranian counterparts to secure firm guarantees before engaging in any conflict.
