90 Arrested for Trespassing at Prison Supporting Hunger Striker

Almost 90 pro-Palestinian demonstrators were arrested at HMP Wormwood Scrubs for aggravated trespass after allegedly breaching prison grounds during a protest supporting Umer Khalid, a Palestine Action activist on a dangerous thirst strike. The group reportedly blocked prison staff and threatened police officers, leading to a significant police operation that lasted five hours. A Ministry of Justice spokesperson condemned the actions as an unacceptable escalation but noted that prison security was not compromised. Khalid has been imprisoned since July 2025 in connection with events at RAF Brize Norton.
