First witness testifies in Alexander brothers trial Witness reports sexual assault during trial

The federal sex trafficking trial of brothers Tal, Oren, and Alon Alexander began with witness Katie Moore testifying that she was raped by Alon after a party at actor Zac Efron’s apartment in 2012. Prosecutors allege the brothers drugged and assaulted multiple women, using their affluent connections to lure victims, while the defense claims the encounters were consensual. The brothers have been denied bail since their arrest in December 2024. Assistant U.S. Attorney Madison Smyser described the defendants as “predators” exploiting women, while defense attorneys portrayed them as party boys seeking casual relationships.
