The Aga Khan IV was laid to rest in Aswan, Egypt following his death, with his son Rahim Al-Hussaini named as the Aga Khan V. The funeral was attended by world leaders and Ismaili mourners, honoring the 88-year-old spiritual leader known for his philanthropy and bridge-building efforts between Muslim societies and the West. The Aga Khan Development Network, with a focus on health care, housing, education, and rural economic development, continues his legacy of service to millions of Ismaili Muslims worldwide.
