The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking $16.9 billion to address the global hunger crisis, as 343 million people in 74 countries are experiencing acute food insecurity. Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East are facing dire hunger, while Asia and the Pacific are struggling with climate-related disasters. Urgent support is needed in Latin America, with WFP aiming to feed 123 million of the hungriest people globally in 2025 by enhancing social protection systems and building climate resilience.
