A suspected administrator of the Russian-language cybercrime forum XSS.is was arrested in Ukraine with assistance from French police and Europol, according to French prosecutors. Operating since 2013, XSS.is was a major hub for cybercrime, involved in organized extortion and generating over $7 million in illicit profits, leading to a judicial investigation initiated in November 2021.
