Several professional misconduct charges have been brought against Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s son-in-law, Toronto police Staff Sgt. Ernest “Dave” Haynes, including discreditable conduct, breach of confidence, and insubordination. Three of the charges are related to his correspondence with London police officers in connection to a missing person case. Additional charges involve sharing confidential police information and criticizing police leadership. Haynes is currently on leave from the force.
