Windsor no longer has nation’s highest unemployment rate

In January, Windsor and Essex County added 1,500 new jobs, but the unemployment rate still rose to 9.1%. The local participation rate also increased to 65.3%, with more residents joining the workforce. Despite the high unemployment rate, the area saw growth in manufacturing, healthcare, and education sectors, while facing challenges from potential trade wars.
