OPP’s newest canine member Vinny is on the job

K9 Vinny and OPP Const. Brett Holland are the newest addition to the Essex County OPP detachment, completing a 21-week general service dog training program in December. Vinny, a two-year-old Belgian Malinois, has training qualifications for tracking, criminal apprehension, and tactical obedience, with upcoming firearms and drug detection training in February. Vinny and Holland are ready to assist frontline officers in investigations and contribute to public safety in Essex County.
