Former funeral director Fiona Bakulich, 48, is facing charges of interfering with human remains and eight counts of obtaining by deception in relation to burials at Auckland’s largest cemetery. Name suppression was denied by Judge Steve Bonnar, with an appeal pending, but Bakulich’s lawyer confirmed that she is no longer seeking suppression. Bakulich appeared in the Auckland District Court on 25 October and is scheduled to reappear on 30 October.
