Two teens charged in home invasion, stolen vehicle investigation

Two teens in North York are facing charges related to a stolen vehicle investigation, where Toronto police were alerted to a stolen grey Dodge Ram pickup by an Automatic Licence Plate Reader. Despite attempting to stop the vehicle, the driver fled, leading to the discovery of the stolen vehicle in an underground parkade with two male youths inside, who were subsequently arrested. During the arrest, it was revealed that the teens had also been involved in a home invasion, resulting in the 17-year-old being charged with two counts of theft and failing to comply with a detention order under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
