Wheelchair racer David Weir retired from Paralympic competition after finishing fifth in the men’s T54 marathon in Paris. The 45-year-old won six Paralympic gold medals, with his last race for Great Britain being quite emotional for him. He made his debut at the Atlanta Paralympics in 1996 and posted a time of one hour, 33 minutes, and 27 seconds in his final race.
