US drone sightings are actually manned aircraft

Officials from the White House, FBI, and Department of Homeland Security have emphasized that most recent drone sightings in New Jersey and nearby states involved manned aircraft, with no evidence of a national security threat. Less than 100 out of over 5000 reported sightings merited further investigation, all large fixed-wing sightings were of manned aircraft, and efforts were ongoing to investigate remaining cases. The Federal Aviation Administration implemented a “No Drone Zone” around the Army-Navy football game, while sightings in Massachusetts and New York prompted calls for increased law enforcement efforts and drone reform legislation.
