A retired High Court judge leading the inquiry into the disappearance of Tom Phillips’ children is being compensated up to $1,680 daily for up to four days per week. The inquiry was initiated following the fatal police shooting of Phillips in September and the subsequent discovery of his children at a remote campsite. Attorney-General Judith Collins has stated that the fee aligns with previous public inquiry rates.
