Funeral procession for Iranian defense chief

Iran has held a funeral for Ali Shamkhani, a prominent defense figure who was killed in Israeli-US strikes on February 28. Shamkhani played a crucial role in Iran’s nuclear negotiations and served as the chief of the country’s Defense Council. He was also an advisor to the late Supreme Leader and had survived an Israeli assassination attempt last June that resulted in the loss of a leg.
