Robert O’Neill delivers speech to Team USA, faces liberal criticism

Former Navy SEAL Robert J. O’Neill, who participated in the 2011 operation that killed Osama bin Laden, spoke to Team USA before their World Baseball Classic quarterfinal against Canada, which they won 5-3. While some praised O’Neill’s message, others criticized it for promoting pro-war sentiment. Team USA manager Mark DeRosa noted that hockey star Jack Hughes also motivated the players before the game. The U.S. will face the Dominican Republic in the semifinals.
