The USS Gerald R. Ford, the world’s largest aircraft carrier, experienced a fire in its laundry area while operating in the Red Sea as part of Operation Epic Fury. U.S. Naval Forces Central Command reported that the fire was not combat-related and has been contained, with no damage to the ship’s propulsion system. Two sailors suffered non-life-threatening injuries and are receiving medical attention. The carrier continues to operate with over 5,000 personnel and around 75 aircraft on board.
