Google takes control of robotics project to advance physical AI

Google is integrating its AI robotics project, Intrinsic, into the main company after five years as part of Alphabet’s Other Bets division. Initially launched as an independent unit in 2021, Intrinsic focuses on creating software and tools to simplify robotic applications. While specific details of the transition remain unclear, the team will collaborate closely with Google DeepMind, leveraging Google’s AI models and cloud resources to enhance robotics capabilities.
