NLSchools announced that all schools in the St. John’s metro region will be closed on Tuesday for snow cleanup, as over 100 cm of snow has fallen in less than a week. The City of St. John’s is urging residents to avoid unnecessary travel to aid plowing efforts and has canceled garbage collection. Mayor Danny Breen stated that conditions differ from past storms, and while progress has been made in snow removal, challenges remain, particularly in clearing roadways and improving visibility at intersections.
