Canadian ice dance duo Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier achieved a significant milestone at the Milano Ice Skating Arena by winning their first Olympic medal, a bronze, after 15 years of partnership. Despite facing challenges and setbacks, including a controversial ranking at the Grand Prix Final, they delivered a stunning performance, scoring a season-best free skate score of 131.56. Their emotional skate concluded with them in each other’s arms, embodying the journey they had undertaken.
