The two-storey residence spans nearly 5,000 square feet and was built in the 1930s, although Trudeau has not yet moved in. Following his resignation in 2025, he announced his return to Montreal and is currently going through a divorce from Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, while dating singer Katy Perry. The sales deed lists only Trudeau as the purchaser, and he previously represented the Papineau riding starting in 2008.
