Starting February 12, the Quebec government will allow the liquor board, Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ), to restock certain U.S. products facing quality decline by March 2027. Minister Eric Girard announced that proceeds from these sales, potentially totaling $8.6 million, will support Food Banks of Quebec. Despite this initiative, the existing bans on non-compliant products and U.S. imports remain in place. Selected clear glass bottles, including alcoholic creams and liqueurs, will be available at SAQ Dépôt locations and online with a 15% discount.
