Passengers filing complaints about air travel issues, such as delays or lost baggage, now face an average wait of 987 days for resolution, according to a study by Courtready analyzing 38,104 cases from the Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA). The majority of complaints involved flight disruptions, with WestJet receiving the most at 13,005. Around 50% of complaints were dismissed, while only 33% led to compensation. As decision volumes decline, more Canadians are seeking resolutions through provincial courts.
