Immigrant charged with vehicular homicide in I-640 crash

A wrong-way crash on Interstate 640 in Knoxville, Tennessee, resulted in the death of a motorcyclist and led to vehicular homicide charges against 27-year-old illegal immigrant Eric Ramon Alcantara-Guevara. He faces charges of DUI and leaving the scene after a collision on January 18, where he fled but was later apprehended. Alcantara-Guevara is currently held for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and has a court appearance scheduled for February 26. Senator Marsha Blackburn has called for strict punishment and deportation following the incident.
