Air NZ CEO apologizes after passenger removed from plane
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

A Kiwi traveller, Barb Saunders, received an apology from Air New Zealand’s CEO after her booked Skycouch seat was canceled without notice, resulting in her needing assistance off a long-haul flight due to severe leg swelling. Saunders and her husband were returning from a holiday in the U.S. when the incident occurred. She had paid an additional $615 for the Skycouch to manage her health issues, following a previous long-haul flight that left her in intensive care. The Skycouch offers extra space by converting three economy seats into a flat bed for added comfort.
