Syria and Saudi Arabia signed multiple agreements in the oil and gas sectors, with the Syrian Petroleum Company finalizing four deals for technical support and field development in Damascus. This follows the announcement of five new gas fields discovered in western Syria by CEO Youssef Qaballawi. The Syrian government aims to enhance its energy sector to aid economic recovery after years of civil war. Proven gas reserves in Syria are estimated at 8.5 trillion cubic feet, with a daily production of 250 million cubic meters.
