Hamas Opposes Knesset Committee’s Approval to Ban UNRWA Services

Hamas condemned the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee’s approval of a plan to cut essential services, including water and electricity, to UNRWA offices, labeling it a “serious escalation” and a threat to humanitarian efforts for Palestinians. The movement urged the international community and the UN to intervene and halt Israel’s targeting of UNRWA. Hamas emphasized the need for continued support for UNRWA amid the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The committee had previously approved a bill to vote on these cuts.
