Rescuer frees swan stuck in drain

A mute swan was rescued after becoming stuck in a canal overflow drain during a fight with a rival in Ulverston, Cumbria. Locals alerted staff at the Bay Horse Hotel, who then contacted specialist rescuer Caroline Simms. Using a canoe, she successfully freed both swans from the drain.
