Ottawa Charge head coach Carla MacLeod has been diagnosed with breast cancer but remains optimistic about her treatment, stating she plans to return to coaching this season and at the Winter Olympics. While she will miss the upcoming game on December 2, assistant coach Haley Irwin will take over in her absence. MacLeod, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, has the full support of the team and league during her treatment.
