On Thursday, Premier Tim Houston announced that American liquor previously removed from Nova Scotia Liquor Corp. shelves due to U.S. tariffs will be returned for sale, with profits directed to Feed Nova Scotia and other food banks. This $14 million inventory, primarily consisting of wine and spirits, will generate an estimated $4 million return, which the province plans to distribute immediately to community food access groups. However, no new American liquor will be ordered until the tariffs are lifted. The products will be available starting December 1 at NSLC locations and other retailers.
