Turkish Consortium Joins B Damascus Airport Project

Under a new deal, a consortium of Turkish construction firms, including Kalyon Insaat and Cengiz Insaat, along with Qatari and US partners, will modernize Damascus International Airport with a $4 billion investment. The four-phase project aims to expand the airport’s capacity to over 31 million passengers annually within a decade, creating over 90,000 jobs. Initial phases will see the airport accommodating 6 million passengers by 2026, while aircraft financing of $250 million will enhance international operations.
