FAA to End Emergency Flight Reductions on Monday

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will lift its flight reduction emergency order on Monday, resuming normal flight operations after significant cancellations and delays due to staffing issues among air traffic controllers. The emergency measures, initiated on November 7, are being rolled back following the stabilization of staffing levels post-government shutdown. Improvements in air traffic control staffing, with a decline from 81 triggers to just one reported Sunday, prompted the decision. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy emphasized the focus on hiring and enhancing the air traffic control system.
