Fireball observed in Russian skies

A bright fireball was observed over Moscow on the evening of November 6, 2025, around 10:20 p.m., as captured by dashcam and social media footage. Experts suggest it was likely a bolide, a small meteor that disintegrates in the atmosphere, although some speculated it could be a comet fragment or space debris. This event coincides with the active Taurid meteor shower, and similar sightings had occurred previously, including a greenish fireball on October 27. Sergey Bogachev from the Russian Academy of Sciences noted that such fireballs are common in the night sky.
