These federal candidates are battling for their lives. And they're still campaigning

Alexandra Mendès, a Quebec Liberal MP, was unaware she had bladder cancer while working to remove former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau from office. Amidst political chaos and a caucus revolt, she underwent surgery for unexplained bleeding, later receiving her cancer diagnosis. Simultaneously, Conservative MPs Luc Berthold and Jacques Gourde, along with Bloc Québécois MP René Villemure, were also diagnosed with cancer, yet all are campaigning for re-election in the upcoming 2025 federal election.
