Sheila Berroa, a manager at a Planet Fitness location in Ottawa, was tragically killed in the nightclub collapse in the Dominican Republic. Known for her infectious smile and kindness, Berroa was attending a concert at the Jet Set Club when the roof collapsed, resulting in numerous casualties including former MLB players and musicians. Search and rescue efforts are ongoing, with 218 confirmed dead and 189 rescued. Berroa, described as an amazing person, is deeply mourned by her family and friends.
