A Black Power member, Ryan Woodford, was shot at point-blank range by Taupō Mongrel Mob president Teina Williams, who has since been sentenced to life in prison for the murder. Before collapsing, Woodford expressed his love to his partner, who attempted CPR as he died in front of their three young children.
