Body Found in Port Waikato Jet Ski Search

A body has been discovered in Port Waikato during the search for a man who went missing while jet skiing on Christmas Day. The man vanished after three individuals encountered difficulties near the sandbar at the Waikato River mouth around 6:30 PM on Thursday. While two people, including a five-year-old child, were rescued, one person remained unaccounted for. The search resumed the following morning, leading to the finding of the body by the Police Eagle unit.
