Saudi Coalition to Address STC Military Actions in Yemen
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Saudi-led Arab coalition in Yemen has warned of direct action against military movements by the Southern Transitional Council (STC) that undermine de-escalation efforts, following a request from Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad al-Alimi due to recent humanitarian violations against civilians. The coalition aims to support the Yemeni army, secure STC withdrawals, and restore local authority in Hadramout and Mahra. Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman emphasized the need for the STC to withdraw its forces to reduce tensions. The coalition continues to support Yemen’s internationally recognized government and urges all parties to cooperate for stability.
