Jordan and India to Enhance Bilateral Relations and Economic Cooperation

Jordan’s King Abdullah II and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized enhancing bilateral relations and economic cooperation at the India-Jordan Business Forum in Amman. King Abdullah expressed Jordan’s commitment to expanding trade and investment with India, particularly through the integration of Jordan’s transport network with the India–Middle East–Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC). Modi highlighted India’s interest in sectors like digital infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture, while a memorandum of understanding was signed to facilitate trade between the two nations. Modi’s visit is part of a four-day tour that includes stops in Ethiopia and Oman.
