The Houthi movement in Yemen released nine Filipino sailors on Wednesday, who had been held since July after an attack on the Eternity Sea vessel, which left four crew members dead. The release followed mediation by Oman, with the sailors being transferred to the Sultanate. The Houthis accused the vessel of violating a Yemeni shipping ban to Israeli ports, and the sailors were flown from Sana’a to Muscat via an Omani aircraft. Omani authorities have not yet commented on the situation.
