Eyewitnesses reported that settlers vandalized the mosque with racist slogans and set parts of it on fire, although local residents managed to extinguish the flames. Hamas urged for urgent international action against these escalating attacks, which they claim violate international laws. Over the past two years of the Gaza war, settlers have reportedly conducted thousands of assaults in the West Bank, resulting in numerous Palestinian casualties and displacements.
