The Gaza Municipality has warned of a looming collapse of water and sanitation systems due to fuel shortages and Israeli attacks on infrastructure, leading to a potential “mass thirst” and health crisis for hundreds of thousands of Palestinians. Spokesperson Hosni Mehanna reported that many families are relocating to beach areas lacking basic services, exacerbating humanitarian suffering amid famine and destroyed infrastructure. Since March 2, Gaza has faced a blockade and intensified military offensives from Israel, resulting in over 53,800 Palestinian deaths, predominantly among women and children.
