Elderly Palestinian injured by gunfire from illegal Israeli settlers in West Bank – Middle East Monitor

Illegal Israeli settlers shot and wounded 60-year-old Sheikh Saeed Amour in the al-Rakiz area of Yatta, Hebron governorate, while he was tending his land, according to activists from the Al-Baidar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights. Amour, a prominent advocate for land rights who has faced previous settler attacks, sustained moderate injuries and was hospitalized, while Israeli forces at the scene did not intervene. Tensions remain high in the West Bank, where over 950 Palestinians have been killed since the onset of conflict in Gaza in October 2023, amid a growing illegal settler population.
