Italian police are investigating a possible arson attack at a Tesla dealership on the outskirts of Rome, where more than a dozen electric vehicles were destroyed in a fire. Tesla Italy is cooperating with authorities and has provided surveillance video from the cars, which operate even when turned off. The incident comes amid global protests against Tesla owner Elon Musk’s ties to the Trump administration, with European sales of Tesla vehicles dropping 49% in the first two months of the year despite overall growth in EV sales.
